11-12 May 2026 UN Virtual Worlds Day
3DxVERSE will be represented at the UN Virtual Worlds Day 2026, taking place on 11–12 May in Geneva, with Harm Jan Arendshorst from our consortium on site.
This year’s edition focuses on a topic that’s been gaining traction quickly: how concepts like the citiverse move from discussion into something cities can actually use. The programme brings together a mix of public sector leaders, UN organisations, and technology experts to explore how AI and virtual environments are starting to influence real urban systems.
Rather than focusing on vision alone, the conversation is increasingly about implementation, meaning how to make these systems interoperable, trustworthy, and relevant in practice.
In 3DxVERSE, the focus is not just on building digital twins, but on making them work in practice, across mobility, airports, and living communities, and across different urban environments.
The event offers a space to exchange perspectives with stakeholders working on similar challenges, and to connect ongoing project work to broader international discussions around digital urban infrastructure.
