This September, 3DxVERSE will join the global Intelligent Transportation Systems community at the IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSC 2026) in Naples, Italy.
As one of the leading international forums for mobility innovation, the conference brings together researchers, technology providers, public authorities, and industry leaders shaping the future of transportation. The event provides an opportunity to exchange knowledge on the technologies that are transforming mobility, including connected and automated transport, digital infrastructure, data-driven decision-making, AI-powered mobility services, and sustainable transportation systems.
Through its work on interoperable Local Digital Twins, 3DxVERSE contributes to this evolving landscape by developing solutions that enable cities, mobility hubs, and airports to better understand, simulate, and optimise complex mobility ecosystems. The project’s pilots explore how digital twins can support smarter traffic management, reduce environmental impacts, improve multimodal travel experiences, and strengthen collaboration between public and private stakeholders.
Participation in IEEE ITSC 2026 will allow 3DxVERSE to connect with experts from across the transportation sector, share insights from its ongoing pilot activities, and contribute to discussions on creating more sustainable, resilient, and citizen-centric mobility systems for Europe and beyond.
